1. Copyright policy

Twingle respects intellectual property rights and expects its users and uploaders to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), we respond promptly to valid takedown notices for content hosted in the App.

2. Filing a takedown notice

If you believe that content in the Twingle app (an audiobook, summary, podcast or part of one) infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent including:

• Your contact details — full name, email address and, if you are an agent, the party you represent.
• Identification of the work — the copyrighted work you claim is infringed, or a list of works.
• Identification of the material — the specific title(s) or episode(s) in the App you want removed, with enough detail (title, show, creator) for us to locate it.
• Statement of good faith — a statement that you believe the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law.
• Accuracy statement — a statement that the information in the notice is accurate, under penalty of perjury, and that you are authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
• Signature — a physical or electronic signature.

3. Where to send notices

Email: [email protected] with subject line “DMCA takedown”. Please note: knowingly submitting a false or misleading DMCA notice can expose you to liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).

4. What happens next

We review notices promptly. If the notice is valid, we remove or disable access to the identified content and take appropriate action with the uploader, including possible termination of repeat infringers' accounts.

5. Counter-notices

If your content was removed and you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice containing:

• Your contact details and signature.
• Identification of the removed content and its former location in the App.
• A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the content was removed by mistake or misidentification.
• Your consent to jurisdiction in the district where you reside (or, if outside the US, any US judicial district in which we may be found) and your acceptance of service of process from the complainant.

6. Repeat infringers

Accounts that repeatedly host infringing content may be suspended or terminated.

7. Good-faith respect

Twingle exists to give listeners free premium audio — and creators fair, lawful opportunities. We treat copyright requests with care and respond as fast as we can.
