Privacy Policy

How Twingle handles your data — account data, analytics, content uploads and your rights.

Last updated: August 2026

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what information the free Twingle app collects, why we collect it, and how you can control it. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information we collect

We keep data collection minimal:

  • Account data — if you create a free account (email, Google or Apple sign-in), we store your name, email and profile details to keep your favourites, library and progress synced.
  • Listening data — we process the titles you listen to and your progress to resume playback where you left off and to recommend content.
  • Uploads — if you publish audiobooks, summaries or podcasts, we store the audio, metadata and artwork you provide.
  • Usage analytics — standard, anonymised analytics help us understand how the App is used and how to improve it. We do not sell your personal data.
  • Device basics — operating system, app version and coarse diagnostics to keep the App stable.

3. How we use information

We use the information above to run the App (playback, sync, uploads, payouts), to improve it, to respond to support requests, and to keep the community safe from abusive or infringing content.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with trusted service providers who help operate the App (such as hosting, storage and analytics), under strict data-protection obligations, and when required by law.

5. Content you publish

Content you upload is visible to other listeners in the App by design. Removing published content will stop it being streamed; copies may remain briefly in backups until cleaned up.

6. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Your choices

You can deactivate or delete your account at any time through the App or by emailing us. You may also contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to applicable law.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit, to protect your data. No method of transmission is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Material changes will be announced in the App or by email. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
